Unique build delivers heating bills of only £250 per year

Recent tests have established that Ergohome uses less than 1 kilowatt an hour in severe winter conditions. Our modern home with great thermal insulation and other eco features is an instant answer to the high and increasing cost of energy. In tests conducted during the 1st week of February 2012 when the UK experienced widespread temperatures of minus 5 degrees centigrade our home was uniformly warm day and night. Much of the annual budget is used November through February. In spring and autumn solar water heating and heat gain substantially reduce metered energy consumption. In summer months the high insulation keeps heat during the day for the nighttime hours, eliminating space-heating needs.

Solving fuel poverty

U-Switch says the average UK household energy bill is now £1,293 a year. Ergohome residents are happy folk, spending only 20% of the average UK bill, they don’t have to turn down thermostats or abandon rooms in the winter months. When it is zero outside then every room inside Ergohome is toasty warm and with annual heating bills of only £250 the winter is no longer a cause for financial concern.

Independent tests

Ergohome has been tested extensively in a comprehensive 3-year programme with the University of Birmingham. A pair of homes has been under continuous measurement on the campus in Edgbaston. Used by academics to evaluate innovative materials and model thermal performance. See the attached temperature log taken from the www.servicedashboard.co.uk note how the temperature inside (red line) hovered around 20 Degrees C day and night whilst it was near zero outside (blue line). The heating input was below 24 kWh per day for this period of measurement.
