Google acquires Motorola in home automation leap

Through its www.androidathome.com automation initiative Google has made clear it’s intention to integrate portable touch screen computing with domestic control. Last year Motorola itself acquired www.4home.com as part of it’s own home product plans and just as little fish get eaten by big fish then really big fish come along.

Android smart phones a natural partner

The success of smart phones has made them the natural partner for home automation. In years gone by, expensive and single purpose interactive control centers were the mainstay of any fully featured home install, both expensive and fragile they made such systems the preserve of only wealthy folk. Google has identified that with clever “APP” creation and home partner software that an affordable and intuitive home automation solution can be offered to the wider public.
