Castle-Keep protection

Flexible to be deployed at over 2 metres off the ground, doors and windows are kept out of reach of prying eyes. External automated shutters designed for solar shading also provide impact protection. The chassis and columns are fabricated from armour-thickness 8mm plate steel, effectively bulletproof. Our unique steel & composite construction ensures resistance to both flood and earth quake. An anti-climb exterior design features like sheer sides that discourage agile approach.

Fire Resistance built-in

Our PU variant SIPs construction was comprehensively tested by the DCLG & BRE in 2010 and passed duration fire tests with excellent results. In comparison to other construction methods SIPs can contain temperature differences of up to 950 degrees centigrade. The air tightness inherent in the build makes for slow spread rates. Our timber casement windows resist fire through charring whilst maintaining structural integrity unlike uPVC frames that may “sag” and feed the fire with more oxygen. Recognising that timber for all it’s considerable benefits is still quite flammable we have post treated exposed surfaces with a Fire Retardant coating that actually prevents fire start and spread. Impenetrable Windows & Doors

Ergohome fits Velfac 200 series windows, they are internally glazed so external pane removal is impossible. These windows and doors have passed the Secured By Design standard BS7950 (the official UK police security initiative). Our cottage front door solution mimics traditional timber construction but is made using two skins of high yield strength steel and includes lockmaster Multi-point locking systems with security keepers fitted to the frame, certified to PAS 23/24 it achieves the highest security performance.
