Ergohome incorporates Hydrocyc grey water recycling

Hydrocyc is a compact affordable white good appliance that filters and treats wastewater from the bath, basin and shower so that it can be safely re-used for flushing toilets and other non-aerosol uses. This re-use of this water saves as much of 30% of normal water consumption.

Integrated

The image below shows how the Hydrocyc can be integrated into rainwater and wastewater management beneath the Ergohome. This sustainable solution cannot however be used for dishwasher or washing machine waste so we’ve carefully designed Ergohome plumbing to separate the two waste flow routes.

Operation

Connected to mains electricity, it consumes very little power, operating a pump and biocide dosing mechanism, only when it’s fed with wastewater. A low maintenance solution, the filter media is self-cleaning, only quarterly checks are required.

Drought prone?

Hydrocyc can minimise your mains water consumption and as part of a rainwater harvesting solution significantly reduce mains supply dependence, ideal for off-grid homes or those in drought prone areas. Every Ergohome is designed to accommodate both rainwater recycling and the Hydrocyc. Each is an optional extra, specified at the time of ordering your Ergohome.
