Ergohome is different to most house builders because we finish, test and certify our homes in the factory, we stand by our promise to guarantee customers low heating bills. Our unique home is completed to a very high standard and “snag free” before it is delivered to the customer the next day. Our bespoke product has been invested & developed over many years; residents reap the reward of convenient living and very low maintenance costs.

Getting to Zero Heating Bills

Our home only costs about £250 a year to heat. The revenue from grid-attached solar photovoltaic panels can easily offset this small sum. Ergohome offers a panel option in our Zero-Bills version that once accredited and attached to the grid will generate over £500 of income. £500 income minus £250 of heating bills equals “net zero bills”.

Independent tests

Ergohome has been tested extensively in a comprehensive 3-year programme with the University of Birmingham. A pair of homes has been under continuous measurement on the campus in Edgbaston. Used by academics to evaluate innovative materials and model thermal performance. These tests have proved that Ergohome needs very little energy to keep it warm.

Exceeds building codes

Our homes exceed current and likely future codes; they also incorporate many features that increase their appeal to wider audiences. Designed to the lifetime homes standard they are ideal for the elderly and less able. Incorporating many conveniences they are also targeted at the modern time-pressured lifestyles of younger people.

Energy Freedom

Recent news regarding nuclear power generation is no surprise to Ergohome. It has been long forecast that generation capacity and grid resilience will deteriorate. Nuclear events in Japan, followed by Germany are now more widely felt. The lights will not go out in Ergohome, we offer off-grid solutions which mean residents can enjoy AC and DC power & lights in their home. When your neighbour’s may be suffering blackouts you can always switch the lights on in Ergohome. Why rely upon the Government or the Energy Company when you don’t have to?
